This was a fun overnight loop around the west side of Glacier National Park and some Forest Service land just west of the park. Short and leisurely! This ride takes advantage of Glacier National Park’s stunning Inside North Fork road, which is currently closed to automobiles due to road damage and a denning wolf pack. Be on the lookout for huckleberries and thimbleberries as well!
The mercantile in tiny Polebridge, MT is a must-visit. When we went, we got a free pastry just for biking there!

Note: This route was inspired by bikepacking.com’s Red Meadow Pass Loop, which is a bit longer and also excellent. I recommend it.
